Make the Beginning the Beginning
One of the most important things to remember if you are a poker beginner is just that; you are a beginner. So many new poker players have their eyes on the big money that can be won, and they in turn forget about where they are at in their career. The fact of the matter is that if you are new to the game of poker you are going to have to deal with this status. If you try to jump ahead too far you may find yourself in a very tough position to say the least. So why not slow down, take your time, and see where the game takes you?

So how do you know if you are a beginner or if you have moved onto the next phase of your career? This is a question that does not really have one set answer. When it comes down to it each poker player is different in their own unique way. For this reason you will need to decide when you are a beginner, and when you think that you have enough knowledge to be considered an advanced player.
There are some players that hate the feeling of being looked at as a beginner, but all in all this should not be a bad feeling. As a beginner you should be proud that you are taking the necessary steps to making yourself a better poker player. It is funny to think that so many advanced players look down their noses at the beginners who are just getting started with poker. After all, weren’t these advanced players beginners at some point in time? This is something that you should keep in mind as you move forward with your poker career. You should never treat another player poorly just because they are new to the game; there was a time when that was you.
Finally, the beginning stages of becoming a poker player are the most fun in many circumstances. This is when you will have the chance to develop a strategy, look into what the game has to offer, and dream of the type of player you want to become. So instead of passing by this stage because you are afraid of what others will think, you should instead be happy that you are having fun as a beginner.
Overall, there is nothing bad about being a new player in the game of poker. Sure, other people may think that they can take advantage of you, but who cares? As long as you know that you are in the right place for yourself, you should not worry about what others are saying. The most important thing to remember is that you should make the beginning of your career the beginning. There is not point in rushing through things, and then finding out later on that you missed out on a lot of fun. Instead, take your time from the start and relish the fact that you only get to be a beginner once.
